Center Announces Winners of the 5th Young Business Leaders Awards

The Emmanuel Ivorgba Center, with support from Rotary Club for Global Action is pleased to announce, today, Saturday, May 21,2022, the four Finalists and Winners of the 5th Edition of the Young Business Leaders Awards. Now in its 5th year, the Young Business Leaders (YBL) Award supports young Nigerian entrepreneurs with an integrated package of support to help them start and grow sustainable businesses. Helping young people to start their own business can make a direct impact on unemployment - because not only does the young person get a job, but they are able to create jobs for others. These four finalists will receive mini capital of one hundred thousand naira (N100, 000) each, made possible by Rotary Club for Global Action, to support their businesses, including expert local support, specifically tailored to their needs. The four finalists are: Kingsley Chigozie Emenike (Male), Owoyele Aishatu Funmilola (Female),Youngmafiu Atiku Jingi (Male) and Patricia Godiya Usman (Female). Please, meet the finalists below:

Kingsley Chigozie Emenike is a 26 years old graduate of Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Federal Polytechnic, Bauchi and Owner of MakeBrainz Systems Technology- a small business he registered in 2020. Makebrainz Systems Technology is a business enterprise with CAC Registration Number, BN: 3466739 and involved in sales, installations and repairs of computers and mobile phones at affordable rates. Kingsley is also very passionate about Leadership and peacebuilding.


Owoyele Aishatu Funmilola is a 23 years old and currently a 400 level Civil Engineering student with the Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Adamawa State, Nigeria. Owoyele Aishatu is Owner of Loli's Masa Joint, a one stop fast food location in Jalingo, which deals mainly in Masa production, served with soup stew and meat. The business is currently operating in a park in Jalingo at a small scale, where it is easily accessible to customers.

Youngmafiu Atiku Jingi is a 35 years old Entrepreneur and graduate Of Business Administration and Management from Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Adamawa State, Nigeria. He also holds a Master of Science Degree in Business Administration. He is the Owner of Clean plus Laundromat located in Lassandi Jalingo Taraba State, registered with corporate affairs commission. Youngmafiu is very deeply involved in humanitarian activities.

Patricia Godiya Usman is a 24 years old Youth Corp Member, currently serving in Kaduna, and Owner of Noble Cakes and More- a small, local bakery in Kawo Kaduna, Kaduna state. Noble Cakes and More specializes in cakes, cupcakes, cookies, doughnuts, breads, and custom made cakes and cupcakes. Noble Cakes and More currently operates from home, but easily accessible to all residents of the community.
