ABOUT US

The Emmanuel Ivorgba Center, registered in 2017, is a non-governmental and nonprofit organization with Special Consultative Status with the UN ECOSOC. Its core objective is to create sustainable pathways for vulnerable populations—particularly women and youth—to achieve social cohesion, economic independence, and active civic engagement. The Center is committed to addressing the root causes of inequality, violence, and social fragmentation through innovative programs that emphasize empowerment, dialogue, and community-driven solutions. The Center offers livelihood skills training, mentorship, and support services aimed at fostering economic independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion. Its livelihood skills training and mentorship programs have successfully equipped hundreds of young people and women with practical skills, enabling them to generate income and improve their social standing. These initiatives have contributed to reducing poverty and violence in targeted communities, fostering a sense of hope and resilience.

OUR VISION

The Emmanuel Ivorgba Center envisions communities of heart-warming hospitality- where poverty, hunger and strife no longer exist, and where the smile of humanity shines brighter than the sun.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

The Emmanuel Ivorgba Center is a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to empowering communities through sustainable development initiatives. Our mission is to foster education, economic growth, peace, and social well-being by providing vital resources, training, and support to underserved populations. We focus particularly on youth, women, and marginalized groups, striving to create lasting positive change and build resilient, thriving communities.

OUR THEORY OF CHANGE

The Emmanuel Ivorgba Center’s theory of change focuses on creating self-sufficient, peaceful communities by providing resources and capacity-building. If The Emmanuel Ivorgba Center provides resources, education, vocational training, economic support, and encourages community engagement, then individuals will acquire knowledge and skills, increasing their confidence and capacity.  If individuals develop confidence and skills, then their livelihoods will improve, and social networks will strengthen.  If livelihoods improve and networks strengthen, then communities will become more socially cohesive, economically stable, and locally led.  Then this will foster sustainable community development, reduce poverty and inequality, and promote social justice and peace.
